Apparently, our house gives great hugs… 🤗
Several of our guests have said something along the lines of:
"As soon as I walked through the door, I felt like I'd been wrapped in a great big hug." 🥰
Which is rather lovely to hear.
And just to be absolutely clear…
It wasn't me. I never touched them! 😂🙌
Although, I am perfectly capable of giving an enthusiastic welcome!
I think it's something about the house itself; the warmth, the peacefulness, the cosiness, the little touches, the feeling that you're not just checking into a B&B, but arriving somewhere you're genuinely welcome.
And if a house can make you feel hugged without actually hugging you…
I reckon we're doing something right, do you? ❤️

If you’re staying with us and fancy exploring York in a slightly different way, you could try The Mystery of the Gunpowder Snitch – a 3.25km mystery adventure through the city, following clues, solving puzzles and discovering a little bit of York’s history along the way. 🗺️🔎

It takes around 3 hours, so there’s plenty of time to stop for a coffee (or something stronger! 😉) along the way.

And this is just one of several mystery adventures around York – so if you’ve got a nose for a good puzzle, there are plenty more adventures waiting to be uncovered! 🕵️‍♂️

A great way to see York, get some fresh air, learn a few things… and perhaps discover that you’re not quite as good at solving mysteries as you thought you were! 😂
