Osprey Hideaways is a family run business set in a truly stunning rural, yet central, Stirlingshire location. There are five luxury 1 and 2 bedroom courtyard cottages with incredible views across North Third Reservoir. Each cottage is named after birds we regularly see here - osprey, peregrine, kestrel, buzzard and barn owl. We are perfectly located in the countyside where you can enjoy the peace

and quiet, long walks straight from your front door or even casting a line in our private reservoir. Although North Third Trout Fishery is closed you are still able to fish for wild brown trout. The cottages are beautifully furnished with cosy lounges, king-sized beds, luxury linen and bathrobes, power showers and/or baths, flat screen TV, blu-ray players, free DVD library - infact everything you need for a truly relaxing holiday. The central heating is gas fired and all heating and electricity costs are included in the rental. You can enjoy the best of both worlds; the peace and quiet of the countryside or the hustle and bustle of the city as we are ideally situated with easy access to Stirling, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth. Although the setting is very peaceful and rural we are only 5 miles from the motorway junction. Better still, we are only 4.5 miles from Stirling and its great choice of restaurants, pubs, shops, cinema, theatre and arguably the best castle in Scotland. Stirling really is a fantastic centre with something for all tastes. Best of all, nearly everything is open all year round and if you want to see the "big city lights" then Edinburgh and Glasgow are surprisingly quick and easy to get to for the day. All this means that Osprey Hideaways is the perfect destination, no matter which month of the year you want to come. We love where we live and look forward to sharing it with you.

Looking for a great day out with minimal driving from Osprey Hideaways? The Falkirk Wheel is just 15 minutes drive and is absolutely amazing!
I was passing by today and stopped in. Couldn’t resist snapping a few photos of this incredible feat of engineering—the world’s only rotating boat lift—as it smoothly sweeps boats 115 feet into the air to connect the two canals. Seeing it move in person is mesmerizing, and the views are just stunning. A must do and the North Car Park is so easy to get to.
