A final dram on the whisky tour! Three ferries all ran perfectly Port Ascaig to Kennacraig; Tarbert to Portavadie; Dunoon to Gourock. Phew. This route saved an extra two hours driving. Plus a toast here aboard a small yacht for good measure!

It has been a week of whisky! Our guests were giddy at The Glenlivet, bowled over by The Balvenie and thoroughly enjoyed Glenfiddich. Watching the workers at Speyside Cooperage Visitor Centre Ltd was respite from all the drams. Before leaving they enjoyed a wonderful visit to Speyside Falconry. John was glad to see everyone so happy and waited patiently for the party in the car.

A wonderful visit to The Gathering where the Atholl Highlanders marched onto the park and thrilled the crowd when they fired a cannon, just as they did when Queen Victoria granted permission for this private amry to be formed.
