Now I feel I need to go back and stay in this NEW Kruger Shalati, the train on the bridge. Almost 100 years ago visitors were first shown around the park via the Shalati Train. It used to park on the bridge overnight over the Sabie River and guests used to watch Hippos, Elephants, Crocodiles and other locals in search for water.
Now all these years later guests can experience a luxury comfortable stay in this train stationed permanently over the river.
Offering 31 glass-walled, large train rooms allow for infinite views along the length of the majestic Sabie River while the style of the train is a celebration of African design in collaboration with local art and crafting skills. High above the riverbanks, aligned with the floor level of the train, will lie the bespoke deck with pool, offering a swimming experience unlike any other.
