やっと春到来！久し振りに青空の広がる日が数日続いたので近くのガーデンセンターへ。ここはJohn's Garden と言う庭園が隣接しています。月に数度チャリティーのために一般公開されていて、入場料料が寄付されています。オーナーのジョンさんはBBCのガーデニング番組に登場したこともある著名なガーデナーさんですが、公開日には訪れた人と気さくに話している姿を良く見かけます。
日本では藤棚にする藤も、壁や塀に沿わせて大きくなってそのまま枝垂れていたり、石楠花もそろそろ満開。手入れのされた庭園はもちろん素晴らしいのですが、散策路にはイングリッシュ ブルーベルが咲き、蜜蜂の巣箱のあるエリアはカウスリップが咲き、近くの運河には時折ボートが行き来していて、のどかな風景が広がり、少しだけゆっくり時間が流れているようにも感じます。
郊外には、菜の花畑が遠くから見ると黄色のカーペットを広げたよう。🇬🇧の田舎の醍醐味だと思います。

書道家で、高校時代からの大切な友人@ishimoto.miho が今回初めて欧州での展覧会に参加するということで、夫とアムステルダムの会場へやって来ました。書でありながら洋間にもマッチする彼女の作品は、見事に和と洋を融合していて、そのどちらも包み込む懐の深さを感じます。私も、彼女の作品を間近で鑑賞出来て、まさかアムスで会えるとは！ こんな機会が巡って来たことに感謝💕🫶 いつか近い将来、イギリスで個展が開かれるといいなぁ。

On the way back from London, I popped in a Motorway Service and saw about 20 of these flashy cars. Looking lovely bit woth enhanced exhausts, they were soon noisy!
昨日、ロンドンからの帰り道、高速のサービスエリアで見かけたデコトラならぬデコ車約20台！いや、綺麗ではあったけど、改造車でエンジンの爆音を響かせてかなりうるさい。。しかも高速の出口まで渋滞引き起こしてるし😓😮‍💨

Enhypen concert in London.
Yes, I was surrounded by screaming girls (mind you, they were not the teenagers!)
But I didn't care, their live performance was amazing.
Visited pop-up shop, some photos area where people can take selfies.

Visited our family friend in Northern Ireland. We stayed in the town called Donaghadee. Our accommodation was located in sea front and the view was lovely. We had special tour of the region by our friend.
