We are GP owned and our staff have excellent experience within care from all different areas of the care industry. One of our amazing Care Supervisors Anna had the absolute pleasure of spending a lovely pamper afternoon with our service user Pat. The two of them enjoyed some well-deserved self-care, complete with nail painting, face masks, and of course... a slice of cake (or two! 🍰).

Pat and Anna said they had a laugh and chatted about all sorts of things. Moments like these remind us just how important connection and companionship are in the care we provide.

We're so happy to share that Pat was left feeling safe, settled, and very pampered! 💅🧖‍♀️🧴🫧

We’d like to say a huge well done and thank you to Lily, a Health and Social Care student from Stratford-upon-Avon College, who has just completed her 12-week placement with us! 💚

Lily has been a joy to have on the team, showing great compassion, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in making a difference. We're so proud of her progress and wanted to share some lovely words from Lily herself about her time with us:

‘I started my placement at Welcombe Care in February. My experience has been amazing from all the staff such as Anna, Clarrie, Izzie, Debbie, and Jane making me feel much more confident in my communication skills with clients. Welcombe Care has been such an amazing placement so far and I can’t wait to see what comes next. The staff at Welcombe Care are so thoughtful and caring and has made me feel so comfortable whilst here. Welcombe Care have helped me broaden my knowledge in health and social care and it has helped develop my overall communication and shyness.’

It’s been a pleasure supporting Lily on her journey, and we’re confident she has a bright future ahead in care. 👩‍⚕️

Welcombe care attended a futures fair at Stratford upon Avon high school. We really enjoyed talking to young people about careers in health and social care. If you are looking for a career change at what ever age in life or think you may like a career in nursing , occupational or physiotherapy , speech and language, dietetics or medicine please get in touch for work experience or for employment prior to and during university.

Our team at Welcombe Care had a fantastic Manual Handling Training session this morning with our trainer Clarrie. Some of our new carers especially appreciated Clarrie’s enthusiasm and engaging approach, and they loved the interactive elements that made the session both informative and enjoyable. Great learning all around! 💪

Our Field Care Manager Clarrie has been doing some festive baking with Bernie today! Together they made a Christmas cake for Bernie's family. Bernie was very thankful for Clarrie's help, saying "I couldn’t do it on my own’. ❤️🎄🎂

At Welcombe Care we ensure that the festive period is filled with joy and connection for all our service users, including those with dementia.

One of our service users with dementia has been doing some Christmas colouring with our Field Care Manager Clarrie-marie Woodfield. Stimulating activities such as festive crafts or simple conversation can help brighten their days and keep their minds engaged.

This Christmas, let's create meaningful moments and cherish the happiness these activities bring. Together, we can make the season truly special for everyone. 🎄🦌❤️
