Did you see the sea turtles during your visit to Kefalonia this year? One of the natural wonders of the island, Argostoli Bay is famous for its loggerhead (and a far lesser number of green sea) turtles which come here to feed in its nutrient rich waters.
Turtle hatchlings season typically runs from mid August to the end of October, so there's plenty of time to see this phenomenon from a respectful distance or by joining a conservation charity like Wildlife Sense. Other nesting beaches include Mounda, Lourdas and Paliki.
