It's been a little while now since we've retired from our es**rt duties (privilege!)...however we will never forget. It was heartwarming to see some photos in a local shop 🪟. ...a very old post now!.. but so nostalgic and ever relevant, the current generation which are now a working half sister pair with same mother Mercy, one of Jerry's and one of Toms..now 11 and 12 years old unbelievably!...Nettie O'Hoy and Ruby O'Hoy.

Ruby and Nettie doing us proud again today with a peedie tour roond Stromness with this 2 lovely ladies who have come across the water to meet the girls and to enjoy a few days on the island. Was a pleasure to meet you both and hope you enjoyed the experience. Think we were just in time, getting home before the weather really turned. Starting to see the girls come into work mode when the harness comes out which is a really good sign that they are enjoying themselves as much as we are. They have been super since starting their working duties and we can see them getting stronger and more confident with each tour. We are all looking forward to the next one already

It's been an eventful Sunday with the lasses. Think we will all agree that everyday is a different day, especially when it comes to animals. The girls are still learning and taking it all in. They had a minor hiccup this morning, but it's all an experience that they will grow from. It was a pleasure to have this 2 ladies who have very kindly let us share their photo we got of them, with Ruby And Nettie. A big thank you to the pair of them, for being very patient and understanding with our small blip we encountered. So proud of the girls for the way they handled the situation. Such a brilliant pair who work beautifully together. They have done super with the tour and day in general. 😁

Just some bonnie bum shots today, from Nettie and Ruby, who both did super with a group of ladies they took on a private tour roond the shore and through the streets o Stromness. The girls are doing great with what is being asked of them so far. Everyone here at Stromness By Carriage are very proud of them both, the apples certainly do not fall far from the tree 😁

As mentioned in the previous post shared from Julie, the boys are slowing down on the daily graft. So today their daughters took a party of 4 young ladies a tour round Stromness to celebrate a birthday. To the right (roadside) is Ruby who is a daughter of Tom and then to the left is Nettie who is a daughter of Jerry. Both the girls have the same mum and they were born and bred at home. Hopefully if all goes well, everyone will see a lot more of this siblings working together, doing everyone here at Stromness By Carriage proud.
