Cheapest doesn’t always mean best value… and recent travel disruption has proved that more than ever. ✈️
Over the past few weeks, I’ve seen two very different experiences from travellers affected by the Middle East flight disruptions — and the biggest difference came down to how they booked.
One client had booked a fully ABTA & ATOL protected package holiday with me — a luxury all-inclusive trip to the Maldives with flights via Doha.
When their return flight was cancelled, the situation changed instantly… but because everything was properly protected, they were completely looked after.
Their 5-star resort extended their stay for an extra FIVE nights while alternative flights home were arranged — all covered.
No panic.
No huge unexpected costs.
No hours spent trying to sort things alone.
Just support, protection, and someone there to help when it mattered most. 💙
At the same time, another traveller had booked “cheap” flights online for a family trip to New Zealand, with accommodation booked separately.
When their flight was cancelled, they were left stranded for 9 days waiting for replacement flights — while paying thousands in extra accommodation and expenses themselves.
And if they’d chosen a refund instead? They were told it could take up to 10 days to receive the money back… while flight prices kept climbing daily.
This is exactly why I always say:
Don’t just look at the upfront price when booking travel.
Look at the protection.
Look at the support.
Look at what happens if things go wrong.
Because when you book an ABTA & ATOL protected package holiday with me, you’re not just booking a holiday…
You’re booking expert advice, financial protection, and real human support before, during, and after your trip. 🌍✈️
