My name is Mark Joiner and I am a home-based freelancer specialising in IT and website services. I offer professional services focussed on the use of MS Office 2013 and Open Office suites; specifically I specialise in word documents, databases, spreadsheets and presentations. I work with both MS Office 2013 and Open Office, depending on the needs and requirements of clients.
In addition to working with MS Office 2013 and Open Office, I also offer website design and maintenance services. I work with different website builders, and I will assist clients with the designing of websites according to their specifications, including showing a preview of the website design before final publishing, as well as consulting with clients at every stage of the process. I also offer to maintain and upkeep websites for clients according to their specifications, if they require this service.
SUITABLILTY FOR THE JOB
My experience of working with IT and websites comes from my previous education and work experience. My experience and expertise can be seen in the following summaries:
I have studied an Access to Higher Education (Level 2) course in History, Sociology and Psychology at West Suffolk College, Bury St. Edmunds, in Suffolk; and during this period I used MS Office extensively, creating word documents for academic assignments and designing PowerPoint presentations. In addition I am also skilled with using all the different templates in Word, Excel and PowerPoint through pursuing my personal projects. I am equally experienced with using Open Office programmes as well, so I am flexible and offer extensive services in both.
In terms of my experience with websites, I have previously worked with a local charity called Churches Together in Sudbury & District, based in Sudbury, Suffolk. During this period I assisted them with maintaining their website and making sure that all the information related to aspects such as the accuracy of information relating to their events was up-to-date. I updated information using Google Calendar and I worked extensively to maintain reliability and high level of accuracy relating to information the client wanted to convey to potential online visitors about themselves and what they had to offer.
In addition still, I have plans to embark on degree level study with the Open University, which will further increase my experience and skills.
