🎴 MONTHLY POKÉMON TOURNAMENT NIGHT! 🎴
Starting Friday 4th September, Catch ’n’ Collect will host a casual Pokémon tournament on the first Friday of every month during our Pokémon League night!

Three Fridays a month will continue to be focused on learning, testing decks and trading, with one Friday dedicated to a little more competitive play. 🏆

📍 Tournament Night
🕕 6pm–approx. 9pm
💷 £5 entry
🎮 Standard Format
⚔️ 3 Swiss rounds — Best of 3
⏱️ 50 minutes per round + overtime

The tournament will be run through the official Pokémon Tournament software, with Steven as Judge. Swiss pairing means you’ll be matched with players on a similar Win/Loss/Tie record after Round 1.

The store will be closed to non-tournament activity from 6pm so players can focus on their matches without distractions. This only applies to the first Friday of each month.

WHAT DO I NEED?
🃏 60-card Standard deck: Only cards with regulation marks H, I & J are legal. Older cards are only permitted if they have a legal H/I/J reprint (e.g. Boss’s Orders).
📋 No deck list is required for this casual event, although Steven may check decks at any time.

⚖️ Official tournament rules, fixes and penalties will be followed, but newer players will be introduced to these gently.

🎲 Bring sleeves in good condition, dice, condition markers and a playmat if you have one.

🪪 Play! Pokémon Trainer ID required. Don’t have one? Arrive early and Myles or Steven can help set you up. You cannot enter without one.

There’s no minimum age, but players must be able to play independently, including reading cards without judge/parent support.

PRIZES 🎁
Every player receives a Prize Pack, subject to availability.
The Top 3 players will also receive additional prizes funded by the £5 entry fees!

This is still a casual event — there’s plenty of room for laughs and conversation! Just please play at a good pace so we can keep the tournament running smoothly.
