🔦People of EO: Meet Adam!

Welcome back to our People of EO series, where we shine a light on the incredible individuals behind our mission. Today, we’re thrilled to introduce Adam Wilkum, who recently joined EO as a Sales Director in North America!

We caught up with Adam to learn more about his role, his passion for electrification, and what drives him outside of work. 👇

📅How long have you been with EO?
I’ve been with EO for 4 months, having joined from Shell Recharge.

💼What is your role at EO?
I’m a Sales Director focused on the North American School Bus market - an industry I’ve proudly supported for over 20 years. My role is to help fleet owners and facility managers navigate their electrification journey by developing effective strategies and tailored solutions.

⚡What excites you most about your work?
Supporting the electrification of over 500,000 yellow school buses across North America is a powerful and meaningful mission. Our Charge Assurance package, delivering >99% uptime, is built to meet the reliability needs of operators transporting our most precious cargo: children. With only 3% of school buses currently electrified, there’s a huge opportunity to guide fleets through their first steps into electric.

🔥And outside of work?
Giving back to my community is a big part of who I am. I volunteer as a firefighter and emergency medical responder at my local fire department. When I’m not doing that, you’ll find me enjoying the great outdoors - especially when there’s a fishing rod in hand!

🌞 Cheers to summer and togetherness! 🍹✨

We took advantage of the beautiful sunshine and gathered by the canal, a short stroll from the office, for some well-deserved drinks and delicious food. It was the perfect chance to bring everyone together, catch up, and celebrate the great work our team has been doing.

🎭⚖️People of EO: Charlie Tomlinson

Charlie joined EO in October last year - but, in his words, “it feels much longer (in a good way of course!)”. Since then, he’s become a core part of the team, bringing both legal expertise and a touch of theatrical flair to the mix.

As our General Legal Counsel, Charlie oversees all legal, contractual, and risk matters across the business. He also leads our newly formed Commercial team, supporting procurement and contract management. It’s a busy remit, but as Charlie says, “I have a great team!”

We asked Charlie a few other questions as part of our People of EO series:

🔍What excites you most about your work?
“Working in a fast-growing business within a new and innovative sector is incredibly rewarding. We’re constantly developing solutions that are new to the market, and being part of that - both as a lawyer and commercially - is what makes this job so exciting.”

🎬What are your passions outside work?
”Before being a lawyer, I was an actor and try to stay involved in theatre when time permits, primarily as a director these days! I also try to find time to tend the garden, restore an ancient Thames barge and spend time with my wonderful family!”
