Summer activities ☀️🌷🧘 🏃‍♀️

Durlston Victorian walk is one of our favourites, with a great nature, adventure trail for the children too!

DRY STONE WALL RESTORATION
At Durlston Country Park a total of 978 metres of dry stone walls have now been restored and rebuilt since the National Lottery Heritage Funded Project began in August 2018 - and it is expected that the one kilometre milestone will be reached very soon.

The walls were fundamental to George Burt's plans for his estate in the late 1800s. Over time, most of the walls had collapsed and the stone taken away, so it's quite an achievement to have nearly finished restoring this feature of the landscape!
