Sandbanks Ferry Closure ⛴️

This is an advance notice for guests travelling to stay with us at Mia’s Cottage. The Sandbanks Ferry will be undergoing a scheduled major refit in November as part of a routine maintenance programme the vessel undergoes every two years.

The ferry's last day of service before the refit will be Sunday 1st November 2026. The last service of the day leaves Shell Bay at 11:10pm.

The ferry will be out of service for a period of 7 weeks for the refit works, subject to weather and sea conditions.

Starting in the pretty village of Studland, this stunning route takes you out towards the famous white chalk stacks of Old Harry Rocks, before looping back across Ballard Down, where incredible views stretch along the Jurassic Coast.
