Challenge Valley is our woodland assault course here at Clyne, where you’ll climb, crawl and swing your way around the course and, as you can see, getting muddy is very much part of it.

It’s great fun for families, groups of friends, birthdays and groups looking for something a bit different to do together.

You don’t have to be staying in our cottages to take part either.

Now is a great time to bring your dogs to Gower. 🐾

The beaches are quieter, it’s cooler for longer walks, and there are plenty of places to explore without having to leave the dogs behind.

From Clyne Farm you can walk straight into Clyne Valley Country Park, Clyne Gardens or the Common. Or head out to one of the many Gower beaches for the day, before coming back to the cottage.

All nine of our cottages are dog-friendly 🐾

The Stone Barn isn’t just for weddings.

Back in March, we had a very special first birthday celebration in the Barn, complete with a rather impressive racing car themed soft play set-up!

Recently we’ve also had the Barn hired for a baby shower, a Golden Wedding Anniversary, and by a family staying in all of our cottages who wanted somewhere they could all sit down and have dinner together.

It’s always nice seeing the Barn used in different ways.

The countdown is officially over, and we can't wait to welcome everyone who has signed up to Clyne Farm Centre tomorrow for one seriously muddy adventure!

Get ready for Challenge Valley, the muddiest assault course in the world, with 60-90 minutes of climbing, crawling, jumping, teamwork and plenty of laughs along the way 💪😂

This isn't about being the fastest, it's about getting stuck in, getting completely covered in mud and raising money to support children and families across Swansea Bay.

To everyone taking part: good luck, have fun and prepare to get VERY muddy 🌧️

If you had four or five days at Clyne, what would you do?

You could spend one day on Gower, another wandering around Mumbles, fit in a horse ride or Challenge Valley obstacle course, and still have a day when you don’t really plan anything.

Go for a walk. Have a slow breakfast. Come back to the cottage after a day out and decide what you fancy doing tomorrow.

That’s the good thing about staying for a few extra nights. You don’t have to try and fit everything into a weekend.

We have some four and five-night stays available this autumn if you fancy doing just that.

Dropping your son or daughter off at Swansea University this September? 📚

Freshers Week starts on 21st September, and if it’s their first term away from home, there’s quite a lot to fit into those first few days.

Rather than doing the drive, unpacking the car and heading straight home again, you could stay for a night or two and make it a little less rushed.

We’re just an 8-minute drive from Swansea University, with cottages that have plenty of room for all the family to stay. You can cook one last family meal together, help get everything sorted, and the dog can come too 🐾

We are only a 15 drive from the campuses of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David too.

We have some cottage availability around Freshers Week, including Horseshoe Cottage, pictured here 🏡
