Isle of Scarp from Leverburgh, 10th June
Full day trip also visiting Loch Reasort

Thanks to our passengers for you interest in our trips and making this season so enjoyable. We have had great mixed groups and private charters, mainly to the Shiant Isles. Next week's trips are fully booked, but a week on Wednesday we are running a special trip to Scarp, cruising the western coastline of Harris.

Departing at 9.30am from Leverburgh Pier and returning at 5.30pm to Leverburgh, this full day tour will take you into the heart of the beautiful remote area of North Harris where you get to see some of the most gorgeous beaches that the island has to offer as well as some the remains of crofting villages. Spend time on the island of Scarp and tour some of the most remote locations in North Harris where much wildlife can be seen including Golden eagles and white-tailed eagles.

The trip includes a cruise of Loch Reasort, about as still, quiet and peaceful a location as you can imagine.

Scarp itself has an interesting history and you can enjoy hearing some of that from Angus and crewmen Fred and Archie as you take in the beautiful views from the deck of our spacious boat.

We will pass all the beautiful beaches of West Harris, providing unusual photo opportunities.

Tea or coffee and home baked cake will be served and our boat has an onboard W.C., an essential for a full day trip.

Just four places remain available for this trip and these can be booked at our website www.isleofharrisseatours.co.uk

Shiant Isles Day Trip - Monday 4th May. £120
One place is available.

Following another successful private charter to the Shiant Isles yesterday with some fantastic wildlife encounters, we have another two trips planned there on Monday and Tuesday. Tuesday is fully booked but Monday's trip has one place available.

Departing from Isle of Harris Marina at 9.30 and returning at 3.30pm you can enjoy the views from the spacious deck of our custom built vessel 'Harmony'.
There is time ashore for you to explore and tea and coffee, fresh baking and a little tipple of Malt whisky if you wish on your return.

The Shiant Isles are one of the great bird-stations of the northern hemisphere, with some 300,000 seabirds, including puffins, guillemots, razorbills, shags and great skuas, arriving in summer to breed.

Shiant Isles season 2026
In just over a month we will be running our first trips to the beautiful Shiant Isles.
Each trip runs from the marina in Tarbert, taking an hour passing some lovely coastal villages on the way. We then go ashore at the Shiant Isles for a couple of hours, giving time to enjoy the sights and sounds for yourself.
We serve fresh home baking with coffee and tea before touring the islands by boat. There are interesting features to see, including basalt columns reminiscent of Staffa and, of course, the wonderful bird colonies of razorbills, puffins and guillemots.
On our return journey to Tarbert we usually visit the now uninhabited village of Bhalamus with its seal colony.
Often there will be White Tailed eagles, dolphins and porpoise to see, and our crew will help you to spot these.
Our boat Harmony is a comfortable and spacious vessel, very accessible with plenty of seating and a WC.
The stable deck is great for taking photos of all that you see from different viewpoints.
Availability and online booking can be found at www.isleofharrisseatours.co.uk

*Update* - Trip fully booked.

The Shiant Isles - Monday 28th July, 9.30 - 3.30

This is one of our last trips to the Shiants before the birds begin to depart. Angus reports from this week's trips that they are still abundant and if you would like to see these engaging little birds we can take you ashore at two spots where they can be observed safely.
Our vessel 'Harmony' is a custom built twin hulled cabin cruiser with lots of deck space to take photographs or sit and enjoy the fresh air comfortably. There is also interior seating and, in line with best health and safety practice for a day trip, an onboard WC.
Freshly prepared tea or coffee, home baked cakes and a little tipple on the way home are all part of the welcome.

Two places only available on this trip.
