Minehead Beach - arguably one of the most underrated places! The beach is fabulous, sandy and dog friendly all year round on the western half. Great shops and The Old Ship Aground. at the harbour end is a firm favourite for food an sundowners….

🎣💙 Meet our newest resident at Old Holcombe Water Farm…

I finally managed to capture him on camera!

I’d heard his distinctive call, caught the occasional flash of electric blue around the lake, and now I’ve finally managed to film our beautiful kingfisher fishing around the island.

What an incredible little bird — and we feel very lucky that he’s decided to make our lake part of his territory.

Just another bit of wildlife magic here on Exmoor. 🌿

We spent a wonderful evening up on beautiful Haddon Hill tonight, watching the eclipse. 🌘✨

We met some lovely people who’d had exactly the same idea, all gathered to enjoy something pretty special together.

The views from Haddon Hill are spectacular at the best of times, but tonight they felt even more magical.

If you missed the eclipse, we managed to capture a few photos and videos with our amazing SeeStar telescope — hopefully you can enjoy a little bit of it through these. We also have telescopes for hire for anyone staying with us seeing as the dark skies are approaching. 🌙⭐️🪐

SPOT THE DIFFERENCE……

For anyone who has stayed in our gorgeous South Barn, you may notice something a little different in picture number 1!!!!

We are always improving, inside, outside etc…. This was something we have wanted to do and when you find a talented pair of drystone wallers you just have to go for it ❤️❤️

Done the “Somerset” way, the walk down to the pond now makes us grin from ear to ear…. Such an important and impressive skill. We are so proud to be keeping tradition where we can!

We’ve got friends staying with us this weekend so we took an afternoon trip to the Valley of Rocks yesterday and were greeted by these wonderful boys and girls. The approaching sunset made the experience even more spectacular.

If you’re staying with us, Lynton and Lynmouth are fantastic places to explore. Often described as Exmoor’s very own Little Switzerland, the area offers breathtaking scenery, wildlife, and unforgettable views.
