MSC WORLD EUROPA - CRUISEPORT - VALETTA, MALTA

Love the futuristic look of this ship which is most evident from the front view of the ship, the aft of the ship however is just as impressive and definitely shows the scale of this ship. Was not expecting to like Europa but how wrong i was, one of my favourite ships to date and not as busy as you would expect a ship this size to be.

MARELLA VOYAGER - CARIBBEAN CRUISE - BARBADOS

With the Caribbean season fast approaching i thought we should revisit our time and experiences in the Caribbean with Marella. I have taken teaser clips from our Caribbean diary playlist. if you would like to see the full video i will put the link. I will be putting little clips showing some of the highlights in coming days from all of the islands. Bear in mind these were from December 2023, the places won't have changed much if at all and i have tried to miss prices out of the video but if anything is shown then please bear in mind these will not be the prices today. The video shows our alternative arrangements in Barbados having dropped the idea of the Boatyard. Really hoping to get back to the Caribbean in late Dec 2027, my favourite place to cruise and really happy for all of you experiencing it this coming year. Great that having missed the Caribbean last year that Voyager having spent last year in the Canaries will be back.

BLAST FROM THE PAST - PANAMA CITY - OLD TOWN LOOKING TO THE NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK!

We visited Panama in Dec 2022 whilst on cruise on Marella Discovery 2. We were docked at Colon and were strongly advised not to go into that town so we got a ride to the old town of Panama City and spent a wonderful day wondering around. What fascinated me was the view from the old town looking across the sea to the tower blocks probably known as progress. Such a shame that the year we went here was the last time this was on the Marella itinerary. Probably when i look back at our travels this will rank highly of places i never thought i would ever visit but can look back and be so happy we did. Whats the biggest place you have been to that you only thought you would ever dream of?

CUNARD - QUEEN VICTORIA - BALCONY CABIN 6123

Queen Victoria is due to enter dry dock from 17 October to 5 November 2026 for a significant refurbishment. However, the cabin work announced so far is quite specific:
Queens Grill and Princess Grill suites will be refurbished with new furnishings and finishes.
Eight new Britannia cabins will be created, including three new Deluxe Oceanview cabins with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Cunard has not announced a general refurbishment of all existing Britannia inside, oceanview or balcony cabins.

No doubt the cabin was really nice and i would be really happy in one of these, they were last refurbished in 2017 and i do think thanks to the tremendous hard work of the cabin crew they are still looking remarkably good. My one surprise with the cabin was the plastic curtain in the bathroom for the shower, shower was quite small and i think avoiding the curtain sticking to you would be extremely hard. We only visited the ship for a day so sadly did not get to properly test this balcony room out. Have you stayed in one and would you recommend?

MARELLA VOYAGER - THE GYM

Here is a quick look at the impressive gym on Marella Voyager, apart from filming we tend to steer well clear, maybe i wouldn't moan about the pounds i put on cruising if i spent a little bit of time making use of this free to use facility.

I asked in a previous post which was your favourite musical on World Europa, well heres ours, this is the can can which is from Moulin Rouge. Great energy and great performances, what a show this was and i have so much more to share of a spectacular evening.

CRUISE PORT - VALENCIA - SPAIN

Have never visited Valencia as a cruise port but we have been lucky enough to spend an amazing city break in this vibrant city. Great having not only the city to explore with unique architecture and attractions but also a lovely promenade and beach. If you ever get the chance to have a port stop in Valencia, grab the opportunity, you won't be disappointed.

MSC WORLD EUROPA - DECK 6/7

The World Theatre is MSC World Europa’s impressive main entertainment venue, with seating for over 1,100 guests. It hosts the ship’s large-scale production shows, featuring singers, dancers, acrobatics, spectacular lighting and visual effects. Biggest surprise for us was the width of the seats, very roomy, biggest disappointment, nowhere to put your drinks. Did you watch a show in the World Theatre, and which was your favourite?

MARELLA EXPLORER - CRUISE PORT - SPLIT

This is from our 'Adriatic Explorer' cruise in July 2024. The video was taken on top deck at 6.35am. Never noticed before that the upper deck loungers are placed out before the lower deck, is this the normal routine? Alot of people make a dash for these beds, not sure its for me, too close together and probably too much noise around the pool, besides which the lure of checking out Split was far more appealing.
