Roald Dahl spent many happy childhood holidays in the town.

Now September is here, the days are shortening and the amazing summer will soon be just a wonderful memory. But Tenby is special all year around - when it's warm, but also when it's cold - beautiful walks around the pretty town, or further afield along the cliffs. What a summer we are having! The seagulls are enjoying it as much as us. Being by the sea means we get a breeze off the sea, rather than the more tropical heat inland.

The brightly coloured houses that surround Tenby harbour are a testament to the town's unwavering spirit! In the 19th century, the forward-thinking local council suggested homeowners paint their buildings in a kaleidoscope of colours, in order to make the area look bright and cheerful.
