Small but perfectly formed!

While the kitchen at High House is not enormous, you will still find it has everything you need. There is seating around at the island for those early cups of coffee (or late glasses of wine!), and plenty more chairs in the large dining room, or outside in the courtyard for when more of you want to sit together.

Tenby is renowned for its beautiful sandy beaches - just perfect for a lovely family summer holiday. The sea is safe to swim in from all three of the beaches (although do take care near the harbour).

It's perfect for a bucket and spade holiday with the children, and High House is the ideal place to base yourself. Do look at the link in bio for the remaining summer availability.

Have you ever visited the little church on the edge of the beach by the harbour? St Julian's Seamen's Chapel was built in 1878 as a fisherman's chapel to replace a previous one on the pierhead that was demolished in 1840 when it was decided that the harbour entrance was too narrow.

It''s a really pretty little chapel with it's rough stone walls, and one stained glass window. It's definitely worth a visit when you are in Tenby

If you have never visited Tenby before, you may not realise just how beautiful the scenery is. This picture looks across to Caldey Island, which is a firm favourite for a day trip.

Caldey Island is one of Britain's holy islands. The Cistercian monks of Caldey continue a tradition which began there in Celtic times. More than a thousand years of prayer and quiet living have made this remote and beautiful island a haven of tranquility and peace.

If you head up to the end of South Beach, you will find the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. One of our favourite walks is the 3 hours to Saundersfoot, but obviously you can walk for as much or as little as you feel like.

It's especially lovely at this time of the year when everything is green and lush. Time to get those walking boots on !

We've had some amazing weather over the past few weeks, and it really makes you realise that Tenby when the sun shines is pretty hard to beat. It doesn't even need to a whole week's holiday; just a few days in this lovely Welsh town with its stunning beaches and scenery is the perfect place to wind down and relax.

Dog-friendly!!
Tenby South Beach is Tenby's most dog-friendly beach! There are summer restrictions on the area of the beach to the left of the South Beach car park access beneath the cliffs, but otherwise, dogs are free to roam across the sand.

As you can see, Willsy loves a good walk, with all the wonderful different smells. At High House, you are allowed to bring two well-behaved dogs - we just ask that they remain on the ground floor of the house. We'd hate for your furry friends to miss out on a good holiday.
