MUMBLES SEAFRONT

As some of our past guests will know there has been lots of work happening on the sea front to reduce the risk of flooding and improve the sea wall…. Well it’s finish!! (Well 95% done) and it looks amazing!!

We have loved having a stroll with the sun shining and the cold sea breeze over the winter months and very excited to be able to enjoy it once the nights get lighter maybe with a cheeky glass of vino.

❄️ Snow ❄️

A bit late posting but it snowed!!!
We woke up on Saturday to a gorgeous dusting of snow.
It really is quite magical being by the sea when it snows. Our children loved it and quickly ran outside to make snowballs and enjoy the crisp, fresh snowy sea air! Just a magical start to 2026 ❄️

Happy new year!!!

We hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas season with loved ones.

We enjoyed slow starts, PJ mornings, cuddles on the sofa with the fire burning and lovely long walks on the beach topped off with too many Joe’s ice creams!!!

We have some exciting new, we will now be welcoming dogs. So if you have a pet pooch they are very welcome to come and cuddle up by the fire and join you on your gorgeous coastal walks.

Not a cloud in the sky…. So we dusted off the cobwebs and headed to the beach… skimming stones, making stone towers and getting some glorious vitamin SEA! 💚😎

Just had a lovely wonder in a garden centre only to see this fabulous book GREAT BRITISH BUCKET LIST By Richard Madden….and there on page 176 is our glorious Gower - Rhossili Bay, Three Cliffs and Oxwich all of which are about a 20-30 minute drive away from The Views.

Perriswood archery & falconry Centre.

If you are looking for a fun activity for the family then I can highly recommend Perriswood archery and Falconry.
We had a lovely morning over the summer, it was the perfect day for it as it was a little drizzling so we went inside their large archery centre and learnt a new skill from the very professional team.
Our age range was from 8 years plus and everyone had a great time.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to see the Falcons, but looking toward to seeing them next time.

Perriswood Archery Centre is on the Gower, about a 20 minutes drive from The Views through scenic country lanes. Well worth a visit.

Bike Park Wales


We took the 40 min drive from The Views to Bike Wales this summer as our kids are now the right height (130cm tall) to be able to hire equipment.

We did a 4hr gravity mountain bike taster session with everything included, which was perfect for us. Our instructor was firm but fair and once the kids got the hang of it we were all really enjoying the experience.

We are absolutely going back as soon as we can!

Highly recommend for someone who loves a bit of adventure!

When you are flicking through weekend and you see 2 of your favourite places and

King Arthur hotel is a gorgeous traditional pub in the heart of the Gower with big roaring fires in the winter and lovely grassy outdoor space for the summer months. Always a delicious pub grub and a great G&T or local ale is available.

If you are after something a little special then is the one. A very unassuming building right on the beach at , the beach house is just Devine. From its pale blue and wooden decor to its incredible Michelin star chef Hywel Griffith but be warned food will never taste as good again!!

Look what we saw in The Guardian newspaper last week ….the best family friendly beaches in wales….

Caswell bay is only a short drive from .
It’s a blue flag beach and is a gorgeous secluded cove so perfect for families with little ones.

There is toilets, changing facilities, beach shop with buckets and spades and a cafe selling drinks and food.
Caswell beach is also home to who provides surf lessons for people with additional needs due to disability, illness, injury or learning difficulties.

Caswell is also home to who run camps and lessons for all ages. (Which I say say first hand are a fantastic skateboarding school)

Port Eynon
It a 40 minute drive down gorgeous welsh winding roads.
A breathtaking beach with almost a mile of sand. Gentle waters with lifeguards during the summer months. This is a perfect place for paddle boarding and having fun in the sea.

We at The Views are spoilt for choice with the amazing beaches around our coastline.
