After 15 years of building, shaping, and living this dream in the woods, the time has come for Mallinson’s Woodland Retreat to begin a new chapter.
We’ve found the most wonderful people to take it forward - who run a similar treehouse retreat near Oxford. From the very first meeting, it just felt right. They share our deep care for the woodland, a love of design and craftsmanship, and a belief in creating something truly magical for every guest who comes to enjoy some escapism in one of our treehouses.
Passing on something so personal is never easy… but knowing it’s in the right hands makes all the difference.
I’ll still be here, running everything as until the end of November 2026, so it’s very much business as usual.
We’re open for bookings as normal, including for stays beyond November 2026 when Cedar Hollow with take over the reigns.
There’s more to share in the coming months, but for now… thank you to everyone who has stayed, supported us, and fallen in love with this very special place.
I hope to welcome many of you back to the woods soon.
