Dear friends guests old and new.
I am pleased to announce my sister and brother in law Rachel and Andrew will be taking over Thornham Holidays once all the legal stuff has been concluded. I am confident you will receive the same high standards I aspired to. They will be offering The Marsh Goose apartment and Jessie Mary Cottage .In time they hope to restore the stable to 3 properties.

Dear friends guests new and old.
Further to my last message some of my guests may have seen the announcement on my website that I am no longer taking bookings and the business is being wound up.
Unfortunately my health has deteriorated and I’m unfit to continue. My cancers are at a stage where they are untreatable.
To all my guests who made bookings for 2022 I’m
sorry but these will have to be cancelled .
I will be contacting those affected as soon as I’m able seeking bank details to make full refunds to.
Please be patience .
It’s nice to receive messages but please don’t take offence as I won’t be replying . Just getting through the day is an ordeal at the moment.

Hello to all my friends , followers on Facebook and Instagram . Sorry to have neglected you all . Not really into all this posting . Is it an age thing ?
Firstly can I say to those of you wondering how I’m doing after my Cancer operation , I’m alive , coping and recovering. I can’t do many of the things I could do pre diagnosis and living as a cancer patient has its irritations . Just so thankful to my NHS team that continues to look after me.
With staycations being the main holiday theme it’s been hectic with properties just about fully booked.
Missed seeing many of my regular guests this year who got squeezed out by new guests booking early . Enquiries for accommodation hitting over 90 a day.
Saw on tv news in total astonishment of a holiday home owner charging £10000 a night for a 3 bed home in Cornwall . Well I’m not charging those prices but expect U.K. holiday prices to rise steeply due to demand.
Over the next few days I’ll be releasing prices for holidays to September 2022. Can I say those of you looking to book next year and have specific preferences to book as soon as you can .

Great to be back online following a hack on my account. Also marvellous news from the Prime Minister giving us dates we can begin holidaying again. And guests have been contacting me like crazy. A bit of early birds catching the worm.

Wishing all my friends and guests a Happy New Year.
I am making a slow but steady recovery . My consultant says I must give myself 24 weeks before any attempt to resume a normal life. I am already feeling frustrated as I can’t / unable to do even the simplest of things. Just waiting to get vaccinated so at least I will feel that little bit safer when I go to the hospital.
Wishing all our NHS staff a safe and less stressful New Year and my eternal gratitude in giving me a few extra years of life.
Looking forward to seeing past and future guests in 2021. I won’t be dealing with personal booking enquiries at the moment but my website www.thornhamholidays.com has an online availability calendar and booking service with card payment facility. It’s so easy.

Good morning . Always a good day to be Alive!!!!
I’m now back at home following my cancer surgery four days earlier than anticipated due to the high risk of catching Corona virus in hospital . My thanks to Mr Khan my consultant surgeon his team and all the nurses on Denver ward you saved my life. Now it’s 7 weeks of recovery time which is going to be difficult for me a person who likes to be active.
