Situated in Oakford, Devon in the upper reaches of the delightful Exe Valley on the Devon and Somerset border is The Old Dairy on Harton Yarde Farm. The area is well known for its hunting, fishing, shooting and popular with ramblers and cyclists. l Park is a short drive and the beautiful North and South Devon coast is 40 miles away. The nearby historic town of Bampton dates back to 700AD and is a short drive with shops and some great places to eat and drink as is Dulverton known as the gateway to Exmoor. Exeter with its impressive cathedral is easily accessible with the M5 nearby. Come and relax and listen to all the sounds of the countryside which may be the call of the buzzard overhead or the bleating of new born lambs in the field. Staying in the old dairy, you will be on a working sheep farm so there maybe farming activities which you may wish to get involved with i.e. bottle feeding lambs, rounding up sheep etc., we never say no to a willing pair of helping hands at our busy times of the year. We would endeavour to make you feel very welcome and the holiday you have spent with us we would hope has made you feel rested and restored.
