High in the Atlas Mountains: A Road to Remember

After a long trek up into the heart of the Atlas Mountains, the team has arrived at their project site — a remote Berber village perched on steep, rugged slopes where the landscape is as dramatic as it is beautiful.

But life here isn’t always easy. Heavy rains and shifting ground have made the mountain road unstable, cutting off access to vital services and isolating communities when it matters most.

This week, our team is working shoulder-to-shoulder with local villagers to help secure the road and prevent future landslides — shifting rocks, reinforcing banks, and digging drainage channels under the hot Moroccan sun. It’s tough, physical work, but every spade of soil and every stone moved is part of something bigger: helping keep this community connected and safe.

It’s not just about construction — it’s about collaboration, culture, and connection. And the views at the end of the day? Absolutely worth the sweat.

Our venturers have just spent an unforgettable few days at the incredible Elephant Valley Project in Mondulkiri, Cambodia — and what an experience it’s been. 🌿

Far from the typical tourist trail, EVP is a sanctuary where rescued elephants roam free in their natural habitat — no riding, no tricks, just time, space, and care. Our team had the rare chance to walk alongside these gentle giants, learning about their stories, their behaviours, and the threats they face in the wild.

From helping out with forest regeneration to chatting with local Mahouts, our venturers got stuck in and left with a deeper understanding of ethical elephant conservation and the vital role community plays in protecting Cambodia’s wildlife.

It’s the kind of experience that stays with you. The kind that challenges perspectives. The kind that changes people.

They did it! Our amazing team has successfully completed the Annapurna Base Camp trek – a huge achievement and testament to their determination, teamwork, and resilience. From lush forests and steep ascents to breathtaking Himalayan views, every step brought challenge and reward. Their energy, positivity, and support for one another throughout the journey were nothing short of inspiring.

Now, the adventure continues as they begin their community project with the Pahar Trust, working alongside local partners to support long-term development in the region.
