When first asked me if I wanted to join her to host a small group tour of Namibia, it wasn’t an immediate ’yes’. Namibia wasn’t somewhere I knew much about and it had never really been on my travel radar.

But, I’m so glad I did say yes as Namibia has been a revelation! What an absolutely amazing country with stunning scenery and landscapes ranging from the iconic red sand dunes to arid deserts and endless stretches of coastline.

The Namibian wildlife really put on a show for us too, with highlights being the wild, desert-adapted elephants in Damaraland, humpback whales in Walvis Bay and the huge variety of life that thrives in Etosha National Park.

What really made this trip though, is the brilliant bunch of people who joined our little adventure. We’ve had so many laughs along the way and shared some incredible moments. It’s really reminded me how much fun small group travel can be.

Karen and I are already planning our next big trip. Costa Rica 2027… who’s up for that one?!

🎉 Happy New Year! Wishing you all a happy, healthy, and adventure-packed 2026! ✈️🌍

I know I didn’t post much in 2025… but it was for a good reason. I was busy sending my fabulous clients all over the world! From Australia and New Zealand to Canada, Japan, South America, and lots of spots a little closer to home (Canary Islands, Mallorca, Morocco and Norway to name just a few).

I’m hugely grateful to everyone who booked, referred, or recommended me this year – your support has meant the world to my little business. Thanks to you, I sold over half a million pounds’ worth of holidays in 2025, which is just mind-blowing. If you keep it up, maybe I’ll hit the million mark in 2026! No pressure… 😉

In the name of research, my own trips saw me hitting the pistes in France, soaking up the sun in Mauritius, spotting polar bears in Svalbard, chilling with friends in Tenerife, and loving life in St Lucia. Next up, I’m hosting a small group trip to Namibia in March (still two places left if anyone fancies joining?!) After that, maybe Peru or Morocco? Tough choice! 😊

And in other news, I sold my London flat and (fingers crossed) will be moving to a new place in Torquay in the next couple of months. I’ll finally have a garden so an office dog is on the cards… watch this space!

Mauritius - one of those places that I get asked about a lot but had never been to. So last month I took myself off on a fact-finding mission. Here are some of the fun facts that I discovered about this gorgeous island…

⭐ Mauritius was the only place on earth where the dodo lived. It’s been extinct since the 1600s but that doesn’t stop the Mauritians putting it on every souvenir imaginable.

⭐ There’s no official language here but most people speak French or Mauritian Creole.

⭐ Mauritius was recently voted the happiest country in Africa - not surprising when the entire coastline is lined with beautiful white-sand beaches and turquoise lagoons.

⭐ The island is almost completely surrounded by one of the largest coral reefs in the world, making the waters calm and perfect for snorkelling.

⭐ Mauritian cuisine is a delicious blend of Indian, Chinese, French and Africa influences - you’ll find everything from spicy curries and samosas to fresh seafood and dim sum.

⭐ There are more speed cameras on the roads here than I’ve seen anywhere else in the world - here’s hoping I haven’t added to my international speeding fine collection!
