Uganda is one of Africa’s most exceptional all‑round wildlife destinations - a country where great apes, classic safari mammals and vibrant birdlife all coexist in remarkable abundance.

From misty forests that shelter mountain gorillas and chimpanzees, to the sweeping savannahs home to lion, elephant, giraffe, hippo and white rhino, Uganda offers an extraordinary diversity of encounters within a single journey.

Add in its rich and colourful birdlife, and the result is a destination that captures the full breadth of East Africa’s natural heritage. For travellers seeking a blend of primate tracking, big‑game safari and immersive landscapes, Uganda delivers a depth and variety that few places can match.

Ladakh is more than a wildlife destination - it’s a landscape shaped by Buddhist culture, winter resilience, and the people who call these valleys home. James has shared his full experience in a new blog on our website.

Travel specialist Claire has just returned from a fascinating recce to experience some of Uganda's wildlife highlights firsthand. 🦍🐘🦁

Her journey took her into the south-west of the country, where she spent unforgettable moments with mountain gorillas and chimpanzees in the misty forests. She then headed out onto the savannah to encounter lion, giraffe, and elephant on safari, before travelling north to witness the dramatic power of Murchison Falls.

And there’s more good news for travellers: the UK's FCDO advisory against travel to areas of Western Uganda - including Queen Elizabeth National Park - has now been lifted, opening the door for visitors to once again enjoy one of Uganda’s most diverse and spectacular reserves. 🌍✨

Uganda is a destination that really does combine world-class primate encounters with classic safari experiences.

Our General Manager Jonathan Morris was recently invited back to his old university of Exeter to give a guest lecture on Conservation and Wildlife Tourism.

This was followed by a Q&A session with their Conservation undergraduates where he discussed a range of case studies covering sustainability, ethics, and the role tourism plays in conservation.

He found it extremely heartening that the next generation of Exeter University students remains so passionate about the natural world and the challenges ahead, such as balancing economic growth with biodiversity protection, navigating climate impacts, and ensuring that tourism becomes a force for good in nature recovery.

As a company, we believe tourism should be a driver of positive change. Seeing students also embrace this vision reinforces our commitment to ensuring that every journey we create contributes to conservation and sustainability.
