🏰 One of England's richest medieval towns is hiding in South Devon...

By the 1400s, Totnes ranked among the wealthiest towns in the country, thanks to the cloth trade and the flow of tin from Dartmoor through its port. 💰

The money transformed the town. Merchants built grand homes, St Mary's Church was rebuilt on a larger scale ⛪, and Totnes became one of the South West's most important trading centres.

Today, many of those medieval buildings still stand along the High Street, giving a glimpse into a time when this Devon town punched far above its weight.

The ideal place to stay for a digital detox !
Totally off grid with all the luxuries.
Stay in a beautiful field with just peace and quiet and nature at the door.
Not forgetting the two donkeys and two goats that will keep company.
We welcome well-behaved dogs.
Our local pub is a five minute walk away in a beautiful setting next to the river at Bow Bridge.

Roll on the summer and sunshine. Not to long to wait. The field is not looking its best at the moment but the animals are all well and staying out of the rain which is good. They are looking forward to meeting lots of lovely people this year that stay at Bow Creek Glamping and feed them carrots !
