STRAWBERRY FIELDS 🍓

The most gorgeous morning out, over just outside Hayle in Cornwall

When you have an age span of 5-16 to entertain I wasn’t quite sure if strawberry picking (other berries are available 😂) at would still cut the mustard…BUT…

How wrong I was!

Lovely few hours spent picking strawberries and walking around the animal pens (the piglets were super cute)

It’s good to remind yourself that just because you have ‘on the go’ tween/teen boys who love all things adrenaline fuelled, doesn’t mean to say they don’t still enjoy (and need) the quieter / more mindful activities from time to time

We didn’t manage it this time, but there is also a lovely restaurant on site and an AMAZING farm shop

As ever we came home with punnets full of strawberries (and I worried some would go to waste)

BUT, as we had a very full house this last week, they were all consumed in record time

Any remaining ones went into the berry overnight oats (it’s a good one 👍 that I’ll share on my stories when i’m having a Suzy Home maker moment 😉)

We rounded off our day with a beach trip to Hayle (which is literally just down the road)

along with many more Cornish attractions all feature in our Guest Welcome Pack - which is sent onto all Guests staying in advance of their stay

We love to share all our favourite bits of Cornwall with all our guests. Helping them to curate their perfect Cornish Escape still means so much to us and is kind of why we do what we do 🫶

Cornish Life Lately - June 25 💫

A BRILLIANT month - full of so much good

I honestly think that everyone should do a monthly round up - it makes you slow down, look back and so grateful for all that you have ✨

We are now FULL for Summer 🙌

Opportunities, trips away and the always the best (Summer) term for the boys 🫶

Ben donned his footie boots (twice) and Lou even managed a cheeky weekend away in the Cotswolds with her oldest and bestest 🥰

Oh and did we mention…

SUNSHINE ☀️ 🙌 ☀️

In no particular order:

Bissoe walks | watching all 3 boys playing footie together 💕 | fun | new | George & Lola 🫶 | Crantock evening strolls | Courgette muffins | the sun lizard (me) | silent disco beach yoga | beach days with chums | innocent fun | break danc’in Max | sunsets | Football Dad | Pentire poppies | sun on my face | up country adventure (traffic!)

MAY MOMENTS

May was EVERYTHING and most of all it gave us all the ☀️ ☀️ ☀️

It is the month that always goes by in a total whirlwind. I can barely believe it is now June

An ever popular time to visit Cornwall and stay at The Boltholes (with the slight stress of of us having to fill a last minute Half term group cancellation - though we got there in the end)

Also, the month when our own personal life tends to go into overdrive and we finally fully emerge from our winter slightly anti-social hibernation

A little run down of a few of our favourite bits ✨

1. Lola loving the Summerhouse deck (she always lies here in the sun whilst I ready the hot tub on changeover day)
2. The lovely Lodge (sleeps 4+1) basking under blue skies
3. Me trying to highlight all the wonderful colours in the valley tree canopy that wraps around The Boltholes and kind of failing… 😂
4. Just sometimes, they really do look like brothers 💙 🩵
5. SUP Life on the Helford River
6. The new being put through its paces. What a lovely present from the boys Great Grandma (Ur Oma)
7. Never tire of this view

9. Still life in the old picnic bench yet (but only just)
10. A special boy, an incredible occasion and making his Ur very happy, by spotting her in the crowd and making a bee line to say hello
11. So proud of this remarkable team of young men ⚽️

M A R C H M O M E N T S ✨

A busy old month, which saw us welcoming in the start of Spring, longer days and (almost )the start of our new season

We reopen for 2025 this Friday (4th) and still have a few April stays available (message us if you want the deets 🙌)

Oh and also the sun finally has his hat back on! ☀️ 🙌

A little dump of all that March brought our way
