Travel should feel exciting, not overwhelming — especially when the world feels uncertain.
When conflict broke out recently, some of my customers were left stranded at Heathrow with no idea what to do next. Within minutes, I was on the phone — reassuring them and putting new plans in place. One couple flew out the very next day to a different destination; another chose to return home and has since rebooked an incredible trip to South Africa.
A honeymoon to the Maldives and Sri Lanka was seamlessly rerouted via Kuala Lumpur, and they are now enjoying the most amazing holiday. Another couple travelling to Perth to visit family were quickly moved from a Dubai route to Singapore, ensuring they could still reach their loved ones.
I have also been in constant contact with customers already in resort, helping them return home safely when plans changed. This is just a snapshot of what my time has looked like since Saturday 28th February.
At the same time, many travellers who had booked independently were left facing cancellations, confusion and long call queues on their own. This is where Travel Counsellors truly come into their own. With the full support of my Duty Office and Crisis Team, none of my customers had to face uncertainty alone.
You don’t have to either. If you’d like the reassurance of personal, flexible support before, during and after your trip, I’d love to help. Send me a message and start planning your next adventure — with your own personal Travel Counsellor by your side.
