As the season has come to an end, Petra is now safely ashore at Polvarth Boatyard, St. Mawes, getting her winter makeover courtesy of Simon Holman and crew! ⛵️🚤✨️
What a season it’s been! Despite the changeable weather, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming so many wonderful guests aboard. This summer, we embarked on a variety of bespoke cruises—from pleasure trips with singles, couples, and families to truly special, meaningful journeys. We were especially honoured to be part of these personal moments. To name a few examples: we had the privilege of scattering the ashes of loved ones, conducted a honeymoon cruise for a lovely bride and groom, and showed relatives of American veterans' several disembarkation points around the Fal Estuary on the 80th anniversary of their brave forebears’ departure to fight for our freedom on the beaches of Normandy. Additionally, we guided ornithologists to observe various breeds of sea and river birds that frequent the beautiful creeks feeding into the estuary, and assisted the descendants of an illustrious 18th Century sea captain in retracing the start of his historic voyage from Falmouth in 1791, where he set out to chart British Columbia on the west coast of Canada.
Licensed for the stunning Fal Estuary and the Carrick Roads (which is the third largest natural harbour in the world!), Petra offers almost limitless possibilities with the variety of trips we can offer. Whether it's our signature cruise to Mylor Yacht Harbour for lunch at Castaways, a visit to St Just Church with a stop at Renwicks Café, or a picturesque journey to iconic spots like the Greenbank Hotel or the Pandora Inn—every trip is unique. For the adventurous, we’ve loved heading to Malpas for lunch at The Heron Inn, taking advantage of the new pontoon.
A huge thank you to all our clients and supporters for making this season unforgettable. We cannot wait to welcome you aboard next year for your very own bespoke cruise experience. Until then, stay tuned for updates! 🌊⚓
