Over the past few years, travelling long haul South and East from North of England & Scotland has increasingly involved middle east carriers (Qatar, Etihad & Emirates)
Since the beginning of March this year the UK FCDO (Foreign & commonwealth office) has had a travel advisory in place FCDO advising against all but essential travel to United Arab Emirates.
Whilst this does not prevent travel to or through Dubai, Abu Dhabi or Qatar it will invalidate travel insurance policies as you are travelling against the advice of the government.

As a responsible travel agent its my job to minimise the risk to you and I've spent considerable time re-routing and reorganising my customers travel to Thailand, Vietnam, Bali and Dubai itself. In some cases obtaining refunds from airlines has been difficult and its been a long slog.

Hopefully with the signing of the "peace agreement" we will see government advice change and these travel routes re-opening.

I am booked to travel to Dubai & on to Sri Lanka in just over 2 weeks so I completely understand the issues.

I am now willing to accept bookings to travel via Doha, Abu Dhabi or Dubai from August onwards. Those of you who have travelled to UAE will know what an amazing destination it is and how some of the hotels / resorts can take your breath away.
