your passport is now valid for 10 years from this date, this is the date you need to check for leaving the UK

- Google 'Passport Entry Requirements' for whatever country you are travelling to & work backwards from 'validity needed'

Scenario, if your passport was issued 19th July 2012, valid until 19th October 2022, travel date is 18th August 2022, you have NEITHER the validity to depart UK, nor the validity to return from Spain.
You could be refused boarding by your airline, or refused entry on arrival.

It's happening, let's avoid it happening to you.
