Shearwater Cruises, Tours to the Summer Islands from Ullapool Scotland. More info and online booking at www.summerqueen.co.uk

The Shearwater operates from the port of Ullapool in north west Scotland. We sail out of Loch Broom to Annat Bay and the Summer Isles taking in some amazing scenery and watching for wildlife such as seal, sea birds, sea eagles and cetacean. We highlight historical sights of interest, take of contemporary events and at times even the discuss the geology of the region.

Wow, I wish we'd had more days like this over the summer! We ended the season on a high - a bluebird day, no wind and lots of dolphins.

Unfortunately it was only today, and now the weather's set to turn, so it's time for a wee break.

The weather has been very tricky this year, but we've still made the best of it. Thanks to all who sailed with us.

We're keen to trial some winter trips this late Autumn and early winter if we get nice settled periods - for groups of up to 12 - so photographers, wildlife enthusiasts and famliy groups give us a private message or a call .

The large pod of dolphins, we came across on yesterday's trip. Well captured by Arran again. The weather is looking good towards the end of the week at the moment so fingers crossed. :)

Great trip again today a bit chilly though. Really nice watching deer with young climbing the hill. Lots of dolphins once we found them a pair of Seaeagles and seals. Video to come later

Great trip this morning large pods of dolphins and white tailed seaeagle at the Islands. We have another trip on tomorrow before the weather breaks again, only 10 spaces left. :)

Tom lost his sunnies earlier this season whilst filming the dolphins. Yesterday I saw the dolphin that stole them. He is desperate to get them back so we will try again on Sunday .

Booking system open 11 am Sunday and hopefully we will get another fine day out on the water and get to see some nice wildlife and scenery .

A fine autumn morning out on the water today, with beautiful scenery all around. We were joined by a large pod of dolphins, along with seals and plenty of seabirds.

We're keeping a close eye on the weather and will post an update in a day or so about our next trip. Fingers crossed!

Absolutey fab morning out on the water today. Dolphins off Isle Martin, then adult Minke near Horse Island. Many thanks to Louis Neate for letting us know. Lots and lots of seabirds, sea eagle, and of course harbor seals. We are cruising tomorrow morning if we get the numbers.
