The Shearwater operates from the port of Ullapool in north west Scotland. We sail out of Loch Broom to Annat Bay and the Summer Isles taking in some amazing scenery and watching for wildlife such as seal, sea birds, sea eagles and cetacean. We highlight historical sights of interest, take of contemporary events and at times even the discuss the geology of the region.

I think you will all agree the weather is not great today. Here is a really nice video of the dolphins bow riding the Shearwater last week. Many thanks to Paul McTaggart for sending the video to us when he captured it on our trip.

Two fine trips today, dolphins, seals, seabirds and young minke on both. This afternoon the young minke came in to say heellooo and swam around the boat a couple of times. Looking forward to seeing Pat's edited picture later or tomorrow. Weather looking tricky again so we will update in the morning over the next few days.

Dolphins seals and seabirds on both trips today. In the afternoon we were treated to a couple of minke whales in the loch just of Rhue. One of which came right up beside the boat. We also had an encounter with a very large pod of dolphins this afternoon which was so cool video to come.

We love dolphins, especially when we see the young ones. Today they came right in around the boat, showing off their moves — always so nice to see. Spotted a juvenille minke in the afternoon Seals and seabirds also on both trips.
