Hi Everyone, most people will be aware we will be CLOSED from Sunday 12th November - Wednesday 29th November to give our amazing, hard working team a much needed break & to recharge themselves before a busy festive period.

Along with our comfortable E-Bikes, we have a great bike trailer (which turns into a stroller) that takes 2 kids, as well as comfy child seats. With the forecast for more settled weather in the coming weeks⛅️ and the Autumn colors coming out, what better way to explore and enjoy the Lake District than on E-Bikes.

E-Bikes are such a great way to explore the Lake District🚴!! Guests from Grasmere Inn had a great ride via Langdale, Coniston, along Lake Windermere cycle way and back via Rydal. Hillgarth is a great location for seeing the South Lakes by bike. There’s plenty of storage space in the garage & if you don’t have your own bike or no way of bringing them on holiday with you, then our good friends at eBike Safaris can help you out. Jo & I hope you’ve all had a great festive season & have suitably recovered from any New Years excesses. The Black Labrador team did us proud as always for the New Year celebrations.

Bookings are usually quiet first couple of weeks of the New Year, so we’re doing a little bit of maintenance at Hillarth. The whole house is being redecorated to freshen things up. We’ve also replaced the garage door with an insulated electric roller shutter.
The 2023 Calendar is set & ready. As always booking directly through our website is the most cost efficient way of staying at Hillarth.
