Who looks after your community?

Care workers. Nurses. Teaching assistants. Shop staff. Local trades. Farm workers.

Many of the people rural communities rely on can no longer afford to live where they work. Small-scale affordable housing helps keep essential workers close to the people and communities they support.

Our Rural Housing Enabling team provides independent support to communities, parish councils and landowners across rural Somerset, who want to explore affordable housing opportunities for local people.

Let's start the conversation, email [email protected]

The service is funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and Action with Communities in Rural England - ACRE meaning communities can access trusted support without having to fund it themselves.
