This Saturday Newtonmore Highland Games take over the grounds at The Eilan with their annual extravaganza of highland tradition. A feast for the senses in the most stunning of locations, there’s something happening at every turn.
Enjoy the colour and splendour of the pipers as the massed bands march through the village to the games, be amazed by the heavies in their show of strength, enthral in the beautiful, perfection of the highland dancers and marvel at the endurance of the athletes as they tackle Creag Dhubh in the hill race. There’s trade and food stalls too and Codonas will be on site with rides to entertain the children.

🏑 In conjunction with all this we have the Jock Paul Veteran Sixes shinty competition taking place on the Dr Johnnie Cattanach pitch starting at 12:00pm and the beer tent 🍻 is being run this year by Newtonmore Camanachd. World renowned musician and local legend Davy Holt 🎸 will be providing entertainment from 4pm in the tent and burgers 🍔 will be served to keep you fed from 5. Also look out for Sandra who will be selling 50/50 tickets throughout the day for club funds.

All in all it’s a bumper, not to be missed day at The Eilan 💙
