Apparently today was National Travel Agent Day, who knew? 😂

It had completely passed me by until I was scrolling this evening and realised what day it was.

Then I thought about my morning and smiled.

I was surprised by a gorgeous bouquet of flowers from some lovely clients 💐 and then another client sent me the most wonderful testimonial.

Neither was planned, neither had anything to do with National Travel Agent Day, but somehow it felt rather fitting.

Being a Travel Counsellor means I get to be part of so many people’s holidays, adventures, celebrations & special memories, but the relationships I build with my clients are probably the part of my job I value most.

So tonight I’m feeling very grateful, very lucky & truly blessed to have such wonderful clients.

🌞 AS WE LEAVE AUGUST BEHIND, WHO’S ALREADY THINKING ABOUT OCTOBER HALF TERM?

But October half term has a habit of creeping up on us, so if you fancy escaping the autumn weather & finding a bit of sunshine, now is definitely the time to start looking.

🇨🇾 Cyprus is looking lovely for some late sunshine, with warm days & plenty of time to enjoy the pool or beach.

🇬🇷 Crete & Rhodes are still enjoying those gorgeous Mediterranean temperatures, with fabulous food, beaches & plenty to explore.

🇬🇷 Kos is another great option if you want sunshine, beautiful beaches & a more relaxed feel.

🇬🇷 Then there’s Santorini if those famous views & sunsets are calling you. 💙

Or perhaps a city break is more your thing? Athens & Thessaloniki both give you sunshine, fabulous food, history & plenty to keep you busy.

Bank Holiday weekend check in from my desk this morning, cuppa in hand and a refreshing chill in the air.🥶

I have been keeping an eye on delays and cancellations, arranging airport lounges, parking, seat selection and attractions, checking clients in for cruises and late summer adventures, and making sure those who need airport assistance have everything in place.

This is the bit you do not always see. All the checking, organising and little jobs around your holiday that take time, but make such a difference. It is how I would want to be looked after when I go away, so it is how I look after my clients.

You enjoy looking forward to your holiday. I will worry about the rest.

🎄 I have a bit of a soft spot for Christmas markets 🥨

After living in Germany for 16 years, Christmas markets became a huge part of Christmas for me. I am always super exited when Christmas Market enquires start coming in.
