🏖️We went down to the beach after changeover, so hot☀️…It’s definitely surfing🏄, paddle boarding & kayaking 🛶 weather 😎…or a lovely swim 🏊‍♂️ in The Gannel to cool down 🌊…we have it all for you on Crantock beach 🏖️…sunbathing👙& relaxing…we have fabulous beach food from Flotsam in their new ambulance 🚑 on the beach or in the car park….☕️🧁🥯🥓🍳🥪🍦🥤…you’ll be greeted with smiling ladies who will make sure you’re fed & watered 💛…

Our favourite days out…St Ives is our number one & a must in our opinion…we always feel like we’re on holiday even though it’s just down the coast. St Ives is known as the jewel💎in the crown of Cornwall & you can see why..

Set off early & park at St Erth park n ride station (£4 to park all day) & take the train🚂into St Ives..£4 return🎫per adult/or buy a family ticket…it’s so much easier than driving into St Ives to park🅿️…it’s dog friendly 🐾too!

We get off at Carbis Bay station & walk into St Ives (about 30 mins)…you can dream of living in one of the simply incredible houses 🏘️ overlooking the sea…serious house envy🩵!

Sit on the right hand side of the train & the views over to Gwithian/Godrevy & Carbis Bay are unreal🩵…it’s always the highlight of our trip…on a clear day the sea is literally turquoise🩵! From October it’s quieter so perfect for a day out in autumn/winter.

We sit in the harbour & eat pasties🥟for lunch(watch out for seagulls they’re partial to fish n chips & pasties🙈)…don’t forget to buy some yummy Cornish fudge 😋to take home with you …Dogs are allowed on Bamaluz beach🏝️& Lambeth Walk all year round(other beaches have restrictions in summer).

After a long day exploring St Ives & its many beaches, wandering around the shops/cafes/pubs you can head back to our cosy Wi******er & Lodge to totally relax☺️…you’ll be shattered after a day of fresh Cornish sea air🩵..you’ll sleep like babies 💤 …

Beautiful Holywell Bay🩵… warm
sunshine☀️after lunch, the sea 🌊 looks incredible, lots of families enjoying the waves 🌊🏄‍♂️ . Mixed bag this week, but still lovely & warm 😎. Always a favourite with our guests, Holywell Bay is 2 beaches down from Crantock, only minutes drive from the park. National Trust car 🚙 park (it’s worth joining as so many NT beaches in Cornwall).

Unspoiled it’s perfect for families with the fab sand dunes & the fresh water 💦 stream which runs all the way down to the beach. Have a go at body boarding or surfing🏄‍♂️. Dog friendly all year round🐶🐾.
Holywell Beach Bar offers fab food 🍔🍕🍟🍳🥓, pop in on the way home after a long day for a bite to eat..or stop at Holywell Bay Golf ⛳️ for a pitch & putt, or a round of golf with spectacular views over to Gull Rocks 🪨 🌊 .
