I’m all for using technology to our advantage.
But what happens when we overestimate its capabilities?

Yes, AI can scan the internet and return information in seconds.

But does it actually:
✧ verify what’s accurate and what isn’t?
✧ understand nuance, context, and value?
✧ ask creative questions to discover what it really is that you want and need?

Because travel planning is far more intricate than it seems.

It’s about making the right decisions, even the smallest ones, that shape the entire experience.

And expertise actually goes far beyond the design and flow of an itinerary.

It’s knowing when the hotel will be a catfish, how to handle emergencies, and having the right local partners to make everything extra special on the ground.

AI has its strengths.

But when it comes to planning something meaningful and complex, there’s certainly no real comparison with human experience.

Many still see travel as an escape.
A chance to recuperate from a stressful life back home. Or a jam-packed adventure to take in as many new sights, sounds, and flavours as possible.

But beyond the typical holiday lies incredible potential.
The chance to expand perspective, strengthen relationships, inspire curiosity, and even support the places we’re fortunate enough to explore.

When travel is designed intentionally, it has the power to create experiences that impact our lives back home too, as well as the lives of the people and places we encounter along the way.
