"We worked with Will and Zoe in the front office to create a private tour that fit our schedule and interests. They took care of everything for us including booking our train tickets, hiring a driver to get us to the meeting point in Oxford, and suggesting and making reservations for excellent dinner locals.

Once we arrived in Oxford and met our guide Lotti, we knew for certain that we had made the right choice in choosing to travel with Active England.

Today we’re tipping our hats to a generation that showed the world what true strength, courage and community spirit look like.

80 years since Victory in Europe Day, when the guns fell silent across Europe and people across the UK came together in celebration and reflection.

At Active England, we honour this historic day by celebrating the resilience, strength, and unity of a generation who gave so much.

On VE Day 1945, the streets were filled with celebration, dancing, and unity. 80 years later, we’re still finding joy in moving together; though we might swap the wartime jitterbug for a brisk walk or a scenic cycle!

As we commemorate this milestone, we're reminded of the power of community spirit, which remains at the heart of everything we do.
