🎖️ Have you explored the programme for this year's Hereford Military History Festival?

Later this month, Hereford's remarkable military history takes centre stage as the Hereford Military History Festival from 25–27 September.

There's an incredible amount to discover.

Across three days, more than 50 speaker events will bring together leading military historians, authors, journalists, strategic thinkers and veterans, exploring stories and subjects spanning centuries of history.

You could hear Dan Jones on Castles, discover The MI5 Archive, explore Mothers-in-War: How Women Shaped the Wars of the Roses with Annie Garthwaite, hear Damien Lewis on SAS Great Escapes, delve into Wolfpack: Inside Hitler's U-Boat War with Roger Moorhouse, or join discussions exploring the past, present and future of the SAS.

Beyond the talks, the Festival will bring military history to life across Hereford, including historic military vehicles, exhibitions and the family-friendly Castle Green Fair on Sunday, with re-enactors spanning the Vikings, Normans and Victorians.

This Saturday marks the start of h.Art - Herefordshire Art Week, when artists and makers open their studio doors and galleries and pop-up exhibitions welcome visitors across the County.

From 5–13 September, discover an incredible 400 artists across 134 venues, with opportunities to meet the people behind the work, explore their creative spaces and browse, buy or commission directly from the artists.

Half the joy is the journey. 💚

The orchards are ripening, the apples are ready and across the spiritual home of cider, we're preparing to celebrate one of our favourite times of year.

Herefordshire Craft Cider Week returns from 12–19 September, inviting you to Walk, Talk & Taste Our Orchards and discover the people, places and flavours behind our world-renowned cider heritage.

Now in its third year, Craft Cider Week has grown for 2026, with an expanded programme of producers, places, events, experiences and special offers giving you even more ways to celebrate Herefordshire's cider heritage.

From a £470m visitor economy to a record £830m. Now, we're looking to the future. 💚

Today, we're proud to share the new Visit Herefordshire Business Plan 2027-2032, setting out an ambitious roadmap for the future of Herefordshire's visitor economy.

Over the past five years, our visitor economy has grown to a record £830 million, now supporting almost 8,000 jobs and delivering 24.6% of the County's economy.

During that time, Visit Herefordshire has delivered major destination marketing campaigns, developed new ways for visitors to discover and explore our County, championed local businesses and producers, and shared Herefordshire with audiences around the world.

Now, the new Business Plan sets out how that work could continue and grow.

Built around four strategic pillars, it includes plans to attract new audiences, strengthen destination marketing, support businesses, celebrate Authentic Herefordshire and secure further investment in tourism, with a long-term ambition to build a £1 billion visitor economy by 2035.

The Visit Herefordshire campaigns, content and projects you've seen and engaged with are part of that work. Whether we can continue delivering them for another five years will now be determined by businesses eligible to vote in the forthcoming BID Ballot.

A successful Ballot will enable us to continue promoting the County, supporting its visitor economy and delivering the campaigns and projects that help more people discover everything Herefordshire has to offer.

✨ Tedstone Log Cabins
Three handcrafted luxury retreats nestled within 135 acres of Herefordshire farmland on a family farm with more than a century of heritage.
