Greetham’s history stretches back thousands of years. Dominated by the striking broach spire of its medieval church, the village has seen continuous settlement since the Neolithic, Bronze and Iron Ages. Archaeological discoveries, including a Roman pottery kiln, reveal a thriving community long before medieval times. In 1290, King Edward I stayed here as guest of the Earl of Warwick at the Manor House, once surrounded by its own enclosed deer park.

If you’re looking to explore the village, why not visit Greetham Open Gardens on 7th June? Ten beautiful gardens will be opening their gates for a charming day of discovery.
