Happy Christmas!
After the hectic week of making the place festive, I think the actual day passed without incident!
We love making the place feel festive for our guests, and creating a sense of home away from home!
This room is great for the holiday get together, with the openplan layout. Whoever is cheering doesn't get left out of the festivities!
Also, the big sliding windows let you feel at one with the beautiful Welsh countryside, and really highlight the cosy inside when the weather leaves a little to be desired! 😂 ❄️

One of the great features of the cottages , is that we can accommodate lots of people! We have up to 8 in the main barn (Yaffle Barn), and another 2 in the little Snug! That's the making of a cracking Christmas get together! 🎉🥂🥂

Woke up to a dusting of icing sugar over the gardens!
I feel like a kid at Christmas, really has made the season feel festive.... Too early...?

Prepping for Halloween here!
The beauty of being in the middle of a Gwent Wildlife Trust park, and surrounded by Welsh countryside is no light pollution! Look at those gorgeous stars!

Nestled in the Welsh countryside, New Court Cottages are a beautifully renovated barn which aim to embrace sustainability and celebrate nature.

We are surrounded by the Gwent Wildlife Trust meadows which are gradually restoring gorgeous wildflowers to the fields, such an inspiring and interesting thing to witness and explore!

Stepping back to admire the big picture is always important. Here's some info about New Court and the surrounding area

1. The cottages are based on a small farm, and we welcomed the first little calves this weekend! We name them all after musicians and singers, so look out on our pages for pictures of Barry (White) and Curtis!

2. The fields that you see surrounding are managed by the Gwent wildlife trust. They are transforming the fields into wildflower meadows, so keep an eye out for the orchids which thrive among the grass!

3. Despite giving the impression of isolation, the property is 20 mins from Monmouth, 40 mins from Bristol or Cardiff, so there is the best of both the countryside and the busy city vibes!
