Great Dixter plant fair is on this weekend 11-4. Fantastic quality plants from various Kent/ Sussex based nurseries, couldn't believe how busy it was. Wonderful for people watching too. Came home with several unusual specimens. Twice a year, How did I miss this?

Wealden Times fair today , we were so excited but after the 2nd marqeee of dresses made from what I can only describe as French tablecloths, the excitement wained. Predominately clothing , jewellery and candles, most of the stall holders who used to exhibit there who sold vintage, antiques and stylish homewares have stopped selling here. We did buy some gorgeous sheepskins though and a lovely painted metal platter. I’d love to see some diversity back here.

Just discovered a small garden nursery mentioned on here last week. It’s on the A21 between Flimwell and the A21 diner, on the left going south, look out for the signs after Ringden farm. Malcom the farmer/ gardener has some lovely perennials, veg plants, hanging baskets and fresh homegrown, strawberries and asparagus. Very reasonable prices.
Came away with a boot full.
This isn’t the nursery it’s our bnb, just planted up the pots with geraniums and cosmos.
