Much of Wallasey stretching to Meols was littered with Dragons Teeth to stop amphibious vehicles from coming ashore. Anti Aircraft Guns and other defence units manned by the Homeguard. Wallasey was well protected
You can still find other pillboxes and gun sites around the peninsula with Fort Perch Rock being the main defence on the Banks of the River Mersey
