Set on the hillside above Kioni, Lorenzo’s House offers stunning views over the pretty village, harbour and bay. It is located in the peaceful, very Greek hamlet of Rachi, surrounded by old traditional stone houses, and we’re sure you will soon feel a part of this friendly small community.

Kioni, with its waterfront tavernas, mini-markets and beaches for swimming, is around 15 minutes’ walk away via a footpath down the hill (1100m), and Mavrounas beach is a little closer in the other direction towards Frikes. There is a small village store for essentials nearby.

Interior decor tends to the classic Cycladic style - blue and white dominate - and furnishings are fairly simple. However, although the high-ceilinged living room and stone floors help to keep the house cool, Lorenzo’s is designed to make the most of outdoor living.

Surrounded by a well tended and lush Mediterranean garden, in addition to the front terrace each bedroom has its own patio area allowing you to choose between sun or shade and mountain, garden or sea views, depending on which terrace and the time of day.

A stay here is perfect for those looking for a simple comfortable base in a peaceful traditional village setting and with views that will live long in the memory. Due to its location Lorenzo’s would not be suitable for anyone with walking difficulties.

Did you know? The stunning Easter Island got its name because Dutch explorer Jacob Roggeveen landed there on Easter Sunday in 1722 — hence the name Paasch-Eyland.

But long before that, the island was (and still is) known as Rapa Nui by its indigenous people — a place of mystery, culture, and those iconic Moai statues. 🗿✨

Luckily, you don’t need to be a 1700s explorer to get there these days — just fly to Santiago, Chile, then hop on a flight to Rapa Nui where adventure, culture, and island vibes await. 🌴✈️
