Notice the changes coming at Bertram’s.

✨ An Update from Bertram’s, Warkworth ✨

We wanted to share an update about what’s next for Bertram’s.

Like so many businesses in the hospitality sector, we’re navigating some challenging economic times. To ensure Bertram’s continues to be a part of Warkworth’s foundations for years to come, we’ve taken time to listen, reflect, and adapt.

After receiving truly fantastic feedback on our evening menus, it’s become clear that focusing more on our restaurant/bistro offering is the right step forward. This shift allows us to build on what’s working, while continuing to do what we’re most passionate about - great food made with incredible local produce from right on our doorstep.

These changes will take effect from 11.02.2026.

🍽 What’s changing?
- Tables will now be bookable from 12 – 9pm
- A brand-new main menu available from 12pm onwards, served Monday – Saturday
- A light bites menu served from 12 – 4pm, Monday–Saturday

☕ What’s staying the same?
- Our much-loved breakfast menu, served from 8:30 – 11:30am
- Sunday Supper Club, served from 12 – 9pm
- Our five guest bedrooms, continuing to operate as normal
- Our ongoing commitment to quality food and local suppliers

We very much hope to welcome both familiar and new faces as we take this next step, and we’d like to sincerely thank you for your continued support — it truly means everything to us.

If you are looking for a great meal out then we can recommend Efes Turkish Restaurant in Alnwick. The food and service were perfect.

Sorry to our guests with dogs. It is not dog friendly but there is an outside seating area for the summer.

Happy new year to all our friends and guests.

It’s a wintery scene out there but we are still open throughout the winter.

Due to a cancellation we have availability for Valentines weekend if anyone wants a romantic break ❤️

A lovely bowl of prawn chowder at The van may not look much from the outside but the food is amazing, and all locally sourced. A great addition to Warkworth beach car park.

Just in time for the bank holiday weekend our new seating area at the back of the garden is ready for use.

Until a couple of weeks ago there was an old shed here but when it was removed it seemed like a waste of such a beautiful space. We plan to add some pots to soften the area.

What do you think?

We just need to find somewhere to store all the tools now 😂

For the very first time, we’re inviting your furry friends to join you for a day out in The Garden! 🌿

🦮 Dogs must be on a lead at all times
🚫 Dogs are not permitted entry to Lilidorei or indoor spaces (excludes the Atrium)

The beautiful Embleton Bay in the sunshine yesterday. This has got to be my favourite beaches in Northumberland.

Then a sneaky drink at The Ship Inn, Low Newton and another at Embleton Golfclub!

We have limited availability in July and August but get in touch and we will see if we can fit you in at Cross House Cottages!!

If you are visiting Northumberland then you might be lucky enough to see Orcas. They have been up and down the coast for the last few weeks. Trips to Coquet island from Amble or The Farne Islands from Seahouses are good ways to get out on the water.

Fancy a bite to eat? The food van at Warkworth beach car park does very reasonable priced but tasty locally sourced food. I have it on good authority they will have lobster in a few weeks.

We have always had lovely food from here and always a bit different from your usual pub grub.

They have tables and chairs or the picnic area at the car park island a perfect place to eat.

Our new flower display is just planted. We are looking forward to it filling out as the summer goes on.
