✈️ FLIGHT UPDATE FROM VIRGIN ATLANTIC

Great news announced today - two routes are coming back to the Virgin Atlantic network and will be available to book from this week.

Manchester to Las Vegas will start again on 2nd June 2024 using Virgin’s flagship A350 aircraft.

Virgin is also heading back to Dubai with a four weekly direct service from London Heathrow from 28th October 2023.

And finally, it will also be possible to “island hop” in the Caribbean on twice weekly services from June 2024 where you will be able to book flights between Barbados, Grenada and St. Vincent, making a Caribbean twin-centre break a great option.

With many of you looking to get your next holidays booked, I thought this would be a good time to share my top tips for making your money go further....

1️⃣ Book Early!
Gone are the days of last minute deals. Scheduled airlines go on sale around 11 months before travel and the cheapest seats on each flight sell quickly so plan ahead. Lots of destinations are already on sale for 2024.

2️⃣ Be Flexible!
Consider travelling during the shoulder season or midweek, and avoid peak departure dates, such as the first day of the school holidays.
Additionally, while flying direct is usually preferred, you could get better options by flying indirect.

3️⃣ Be Different!
To save money and avoid crowds during the peak summer season, consider alternatives to popular destinations by:
🔹Choosing lake and mountain destinations instead of beach resorts
🔹Opting for smaller, family-run properties on lesser-known Greek islands
🔹Exploring Morocco's beaches as an alternative to Europe
🔹Considering long-haul destinations like Mauritius and Bali for the summer holidays, as these are proving to be better value than Europe.

4️⃣ Set a Realistic Budget!
Everyone has their own definition of what represents good value and affordability, so it's always a good idea to establish a budget before looking.
If your budget doesn't quite stretch to what you want, consider swapping All Inclusive for self-catering or bed & breakfast and eat out at local restaurants. Not only will you save money, but you'll be supporting local businesses.
And if your budget doesn't quite stretch to the luxury 5* resort you were dreaming of, why not split your stay - spend half of the holiday in a cheaper hotel then swap to the dream option!

5️⃣ Use a Travel Professional!
