Had a wonderful stay as some of the very first guests since reopening after a full refurbishment ✨

Once a favourite spot for musicians such as Amy Winehouse, this hotel is rich in history, formerly the Kensington House recording studios, and now thoughtfully reimagined with beautiful design, distinctive artwork and so much character throughout.

What a transformation.

We will definitely be back 🥰

📍Amsterdam

We had a couple of hours in Amsterdam on our way back to the UK, so we squeezed in as much as we could before the kids started protesting about walking again 😄

Lunch at was such a good find. Family run, great food, really good prices. If you love a liqueur, this is your place… sadly not one for us this time with the kids!

A quick stop at was a highlight for most of us. The cheese selection is incredible. Florian, Otto and I were in heaven… Anton had his nose covered the entire time 😂

We also stumbled across the cutest little duck shop where the boys each picked one to take home, and a fun sock shop that they were bizarrely just as excited about.

And of course, you can’t visit Amsterdam without a canal tour. Such a lovely way to see the city and learn a bit of its history. Otto was fully engaged, asking questions the whole time… in between sticking his ticket bracelet to his face. I don’t want them to grow up! 🥹

We didn’t get to do everything, but that just means we have an excuse to come back! It’s such a great city and we absolutely loved it!

Spakenburg in the sunshine ☀️

From , it’s just a short ferry ride across the Eemmeer to this charming fishing village.
We spontaneously set out to find the windmill but after half a mile and some very tired little legs 😄 we called it a day.

Instead, we found some stalls with local food, enjoyed ice cream, and soaked up the sunshine.

This village has a rich past, once a bustling fishing community on the Zuiderzee, with wooden botters in the harbour and traditional costumes that bring its maritime heritage to life. It’s a great short trip if you’re staying at Centerparcs.

Back at Marina de Eemhof, the sunset treated us to a perfect ending to a simple, lovely day. 🌅

Happy birthday to me yesterday 🌷

Tulips, tulips, tulips… my absolute favourite flowers.

We were on our way to Centerparcs de Eemhof and spent the day at Keukenhof. It’s still a little early for most of the tulips, so if you want to see all the colours, mid April is probably the best time to go. We still saw some stunning ones though and I absolutely loved the day.

Thank you to my dear husband for picking up a bunch of freshly cut tulips from a little roadside stand before we headed to our cottage 💐

Kids refused the Santa and elf photo board, so my sister-in-law Cathy and I had to step in 😂

Otto even got to chop the tree for the first time 🥰

Postcard from NYC 🥰

Receiving a handwritten postcard as a thank you for arranging a family holiday genuinely moved me.

Jacky is, to this day, my longest-standing client, and knowing she took the time to personally thank me for helping her grandchildren experience New York for the first time, just as her daughter did with her more than thirty years ago, meant more than I can say. 🥹

Moments like this remind me why I love what I do, helping people make memories they’ll carry with them for a lifetime.

Thank you for sharing your holiday photos, and for the generous bag of American sweets. They barely lasted a week in our house. My boys enjoyed every bit. 😆

Mallorca Part 2: 🏝️

After our amazing farm stay in Costitx, we headed to the north and stayed at Zafiro Palace Alcudia, a lively family hotel with plenty of pools, fun activities for the children and a beautiful beach just a short walk away.

It was the complete opposite to our farm stay and the perfect balance for us.
The beach walk at sunset is magical 🌅.

A special shout out to Zafiro Hotels for how they handle allergens! One of our sons has a peanut allergy, which always makes eating out a worry. The hotel assured me his allergy would be fully accommodated and gave us an allergen card to show at each restaurant. He also got his very own Nutella jar so he could safely enjoy pancakes 🥞 every morning.

A definite win for us! 💛
