The end of an era.
21 Years of Mountain Heaven
After 21 years of operating Mountain Heaven unfortunately it is now time to say goodbye. From our roots in self-catered apartments in La Plagne Montalbert to the start of our catered operation shortly afterwards we eventually ended up in 6 resorts in both France and Switzerland. For the 2024/25 season we decided to largely specialise back to our main base La Plagne, having our catered chalets in La Plagne 1800 and our self-catered apartments in La Plagne Montalbert, whilst keeping our small operation in the stunning resort of Grimentz in Switzerland and it’s been one of our most successful seasons to date.
Despite Brexit and Covid we survived and thrived over the last 21 years, and over that time we are delighted to have welcomed over 80,000 guests and employed over 500 staff, many of which we remain in contact with and have gone on to do wonderful things.
We were looking forward to many more winters doing what we love. However, fate had a different idea, following a diagnosis of a significant medical issue in one of our directors, we unfortunately have decided that we cannot continue to operate Mountain Heaven and so we are now closing this chapter of our lives and wish all of our fantastic working partners, employees and clients all the best for the future and maybe our paths will cross again on the mountain.
